These Japanese domes are fabricated from high density foam, but the principle is the same They are typhoon proof, flood resistant, extremely earthquake resistant, will not mould, rot or allow insects and moderate inside temperatures. They were used to house refugees from an eruption of Mt. Aso volcano recently.
